The issue is affecting only those on Android as we are yet to come across any complaints from iOS users. Googled and a lot seem to have the same issue? Anyone hey guys!! Actually I wanna discuss some issue after the latest beta update, why is this loading in every chat of my whatsapp? Pls help me to resolve it Pleading faceit’s taking very much timeĪs clear from the above reports, WhatsApp is currently experiencing an issue on the beta branch that has resulted in older messages in a chat (around 48 hours or so) to not load at all. Hey Guys, Just scrolled back through a chat and noticed I can only go back 2 or 3 days. WhatsApp only showing last 48 hours of data. While its changelog hasn’t been made available, some changes have likely been made under the hood which have resulted in a pretty bothersome issue.įor a quick glance, here’s how some of the complainants word the problem: Source WhatsApp v2.21.16.9 beta went live yesterday. Original story (published on August 06, 2021) follows:

When the phone doesn't have a connection, WhatsApp Web will keep working if the browser tab was already open, and you can type messages in Chrome to be delivered once your phone is online again. That's not very secure - it seems that the entire system relies on you having some form of protection preventing others from accessing your browser to begin with.New updates are being added at the bottom of this story……. If you didn't uncheck it and you want to, simply log off and re-open WhatsApp Web, you should see the first page again. If you uncheck it, WhatsApp Web will not log you in automatically and will require a QR scan every time you open it. Update: There's a "Keep me signed in" checkbox when you first open WhatsApp Web that is enabled by default.

It isn't clear to me if the browser authentication times out at any point, requiring another QR scan.

Why do you have to interrupt everything you're doing on your computer to check the link to the latest cat photo your friends sent you? But when you live in a country where more than 90% of your communications happen through WhatsApp, you would have read about the joy others felt when using PushBullet or MightyText to reply to SMS messages from their browsers and hated it for not being possible with WhatsApp.

Maybe you think I'm overstating the importance of this.
